End of Summer Beer Garden 夏のビアガーデンの終わり

Even with temperatures hovering at 37℃ (100°F) and expecting to continue a while longer, the annual summer beer garden season will be coming to a close nationwide in the next few days.

As it was a torrential downpour the last and only time I visited the Sky Beer Garden in Wakayama City almost two months ago (previous blog post details here), I had the opportunity to visit again a few days ago with the sun blazing and the temperatures soaring.

I know the one hour trek from the center of Osaka may turn people away; however with fantastic access from JR Wakayama Station, Wakayama's own Sky Beer Garden is quite a value coupled with exquisite views of the city.

I, for one, am planning on visiting this hot spot in Wakayama City when Summer 2011 rolls around and recommend you as well!

相変わらず37℃前後まで気温が上がり、今後もその暑さが続きそうだというのにも関わらず、夏のビアガーデンシーズンが終わろうとしています。

前回、初めて和歌山市のスカイビアガーデンを訪れた際は、激しい豪雨に見舞われましたが（前回の様子はこちら）、今回は、強い日差しの暑い日にスカイビアガーデンに行ってきました。

大阪の中心から1時間と聞くと足が遠のいてしまうのも分かりますが、JR和歌山駅にあるというアクセスの良さ、さらに美しい景色を合わせ持つスカイビアガーデンに行く価値が十分あると思います。

来年の夏も、またこのスカイビアガーデンに来ようと今から計画しています。みなさんも是非！！

Sky Beer Garden スカイビアガーデン

Yesterday I traveled to Wakayama City located in Wakayama Prefecture, which is only an hour to the south of Osaka, to experience THE beer garden in town.  The Sky Beer Garden, which is located on the top floor of the Kintetsu department store next to JR Wakayama Station, can seat over 300 people comfortably and has a retractable roof that occupies 180 people in case of bad weather.

With everything being self-service, one can come and enjoy the all-u-can eat and all-u-can drink setup for a reasonably-priced 3,300 yen ($33) for two hours.  With a big screen TV showing area sports, you can root for your favorite team while enjoying the varied selection of food and drinks.

As the beer garden is in service until the end of August, for those of you living in Wakayama or planning to visit, I would make an effort to stop by the Sky Beer Garden for a relaxing time.

昨日はビアガーデンを堪能すべく、和歌山市に行ってきました。大阪の難波からだと1時間ほどで行くことができます。近鉄百貨店和歌山店の屋上にあるスカイビアガーデンは、300人以上の収容が可能な上、多少天気が優れなくても開閉式の屋根がある部分で180人が楽しめます。

全てセルフサービスとなりますが、2時間の食べ放題と飲み放題が3,300円で楽しむことができます。大きなスクリーンにはスポーツ中継が映し出されますので、お酒とご飯を楽しみながら観戦することもできます。

このビアガーデンは8月末まで営業していますので、和歌山にお住まいの方は是非スカイビアガーデンに足を運び、ビールを片手にリラックスしながら夏の一時を楽しんでください。
